Wings of WarJust picked this up. I grabbed "Famous Aces" and played it with the wife. It was pretty fun! I need a piece of felt or a cloth of some kind for the table tho, them cards slip around alot!
If you don't know about it, basically you have a playing card that represents your plane. The card has an arrow on on the rear and a line on the nose. You do maneuvers by laying a card with a line and an arrow on it in front of your plane card and matching up the arrows.
They make minis of the planes, but other than looking real nice they don't function differently than the cards.
I don't know if I'll go for the minis or not, but for now some 2 on 2 dog fighting is pretty cool.

Been playing Wings of War since Christmas. Bought it for myself. Daughter and wife enjoy the game, too. Like you, haven't tried the more elaborate scenerios, yet.

This is a really good game, easy to learn and much fun to boot. All the planes are pre painted as well and they have a WW2 expansion.
