Would anyobody be interested in...... A goblin team? And if so, could someone tell me what kind of composition a team has in elfball? I'm fairly new to all of this and I just want to earn some extra cash sculpting.
Thanks,

I would be but you'll have to make it different than the Imps ond Hobimps which are Elfball's version of Goblins and Hobgoblins.
| Code: |
J M T D S G
Imps: 7 2 2 5 3 2
Hobimps: 6 2 4 4 3 2
|
I would say Goblins need to be:
| Code: |
J M T D S G
Goblins: 6 3 2 4 4 2
|
But I think I proper Goblin team would be something like
0-6 Imps
0-4 Hobimps
0-2 Trolls**
| Code: | **
J M T D S G
Trolls: 4 5 4 1 1 6

Now were getting somewhere I was thinking of making them slightly ala night gobbo's and calling them cave imps/goblins, Input on this?

I think the beauty of Elfball is that really any Fantasy race can fit seamlessly into the system, I pretty much agree with Dark Lords statline
They are small so tough to get a hold of, not much taller than waist high, which is down to the fact that they need to dodge so well as they cant take much punishment
In order to be a success in the pitch, since they are weak, they got to be able to do stuff with the ball, but they are sneaky and are good at tackling from behind
Which is why I agree with DL
Though I think there is an experimental roster for Orcs, but dont quote me on that!

Since I'm a newbie to the whole fantasy footbal scene, what kind of players does a team need?
Thanks,

Basically... in Elfball there are positions that almost every race has, and the stats are the same, so the stats for a striker in a Divine Wind Team is the same as a Striker in another team
| Code: | Position Jog Might Tackle Dodge Skill Grit Type
Defender 5 4 4 2 2 4 Defender
Hunters 6 3 4 3 2 3 Hunter
Midfielders 6 3 3 3 3 3 Midfielder
Safeties 7 3 3 3 2 3 Safety
Strikers 6 3 2 4 4 2 Striker
Throwers 6 2 3 3 4 3 Thrower |
Basically, all the stats add up to 21, with some extra rules as shown by DL
All the players above are shown to be balanced. Of the above players, Goblins would be very similar to Strikers. You can have an entire team of strikers if you wish, but its better to give them a little variety
Possibly a few
0-3 "Goblin" Strikers (dunno how to make them different)
0-6 Goblins (using DL stats)
0-1 Goblin Raving Looneys (perhaps with nasty Weapons!)
0-2 Beast Slaves (kind of like a troll)
Maybe Im talking carp though :)

I think I might sculpt one of each What ind of "class" should the raving looneys be?

Raving Loonies would be Cheater class. It's a special position not attached to a particular statline.

You're probably better running this past Galak/Norse first. To close to Night Goblins could upset Grandma Wendy, and make Impact drop the whole project.
As far as I can see it:
"Normal" Goblins are fair game (they might tryto claim different, but Grandma Wendy didn't design the generic goblin).
"Night" Goblins (i.e. cloaked ones) are probably Grandma Wendy property.

I only meant slightly, I was thinking of dropping the robes on the torso- so you'd have the robe bottom, bare chest and then cowl/hood;)

On of the things I want to do some day with Impact! is make a Goblin team with mixed figures based on the GameCube game Goblin Commander.
I love the graphical concepts of the 5 different Goblin tribes in that game.
1 each of the basic Goblin type from Stonekrusher, Hellfire, Stormbringer, Plaguespitter, and Nighthorde clans.
Then throw in some extra figures from each clan:
Stonekrusher: Stone Ogre and Drummer
Hellfire: Lumberjack and Bombardier
Stormbringer: Wind Mage
Plaguespitter: Shaman
Nighthorde: Battle Ball and Witch Doctor
Just one of those concepts I always thought would be fun ... a Goblin team that looked like clans polled their best together to make a team. However I'm guessing many players might be turned out by have a team of figures in 5 different styles.
Aquila,
Your best bet is to sculpt figures that you think would be good for the fantasy football genre and go from there. Impact! sells figures specifically designed for Elfball and some that are more just generic fantasy football figures.
Just sculpt up one figure in your vision and show it on the forums and see what feedback you get. If you can get Ramsay's approval of the figure Impact! is willing to cast it as part of our Targeted agreement plan.
