yumyum (cult of yum team ideas.)

disclaimer :
first of all I really dont know if this belongs here... as a matter of fact Im sure it doesnt, but apart of general chat I couldnt find another good section to fit it in. if it doenst even belong on the impact forum but on a certain other FF forum Im happy to move it over there too.. since so far it seems everyone over here can be found over there too (and more frequently at that.)

When crossing trough a site everyone knows (not sure wether I can name the site as it has a certain copyrighted game title in its name .. ;))
I had a look at the god Yum and his gluttonous halfling followers.

and I felt like visualising it and have some expansive ideas to that list, tough Im still reading trough how to properly do that.

the Cult of Yum,

basically fluffwise, both subcults got into a fight until one yum ate the other, no one knows wether the promise of immortality or the promise of strength won, but all knew the true Yum had won. and thus the joke spread.
also (especially as I like a certain degree of variety ;)) there's some more various player type ideas.
the basic halflings with gluttony in their profile now become Yumlings.
the basic core of the cult of Yum team.

they are some times touched with mutations and other times might look little diffrent than ordinary halflings (gonna convert those from halflings and/or deadlings when I will get to this :))

then there's still the big guy Yum, I think also the gluttony profile (because basically its fun to give them all a risky dose of gluttony and very fitting to the background.) all the old Yum rules still apply.
(he has a mask, to hide his shame, and a rubber pignose, and ofcourse he's trully fat.)
there's quite some miniatures to use as the basis, but might do this guy from scratch, dont know yet.

now Phil's phigs pig FF players should be there too, as a player type called ""Yum's piggies." might add some work on converting too.
Im kinda stuck between them being blitzer types or catcher types. either way, fluffwise some think they are lesser deamons of Yum while others think they're just further degenerated yumlings.

Ex-Eaten (or another name.) are represented by deadling zombies. they have once been eaten, but eventually their regenerative nature caused yum to vomit them.. so they are half digested and hungry as hell. because they are the only non fat followers of Yum Id think they are best as runners.. --> convertion ideas.. making them more oozy by some other stuff.. real gross :)

lastly some dwarves found the path of gluttony quite interesting, and from mere curiosity came pure obsession. themewise certain high hatted evil dwarves fit the bill well with some conversion work (turn the hats into cooking hats etc.) or maybe scratchbuilt work. teamwise they are the best blockers or blitzers.

this way there's a nice dose of variety without leaving the theme set by the original Yum ideas just enriching them.
now for some actual rules and building the team ;))

Xtreme

That is great!
Any time you want to share more artwork please do I have yet to see you do anything I didn't like.

The team would be a fun concept, but Impact may end up becoming too much of a stunty company. Deadlings, Gnomes, Yumlings etc.
Norse

and what do you have against short people??
Bonehead

I like 'em. More power to the stunties!

a Cult of Yum team would rock hard.(hell it be fouth team)
Though I love concept the team line up from the old list needs work.
I think your ideas are in the right direction. A good team write would be kool if post in that other FF website
a whole team with gluttony, nice!
Great piece of artwork.

love to hear any other ideas you my have for this team.

Stunties need love too.

Stunties will definitely get my love in abundance ;)
however it wasnt really meant as a new team to do for impact, I just love filling holes. and the idea behind yum also inspired me to perhaps somewhere down the road built my first FF team (yes I always knew the general recipe, had a few odd miniatures but never had a team of my own or played a game.) basing it on some excisting miniatures, some convertions and who nows some scratchbuilts.

that said.

Ex-eaten.
they are basically zombiesh in appearance but even fouler, being once eaten by the great yum, his belly couldnt stand their constant regeneration. so they're not undead, they never died in the first place, just partially decomposed.
while previously I said different I see them more as a blocker type.
they are way too slimy and slippery to run or catch a ball properly, but their regeneration, stench and slippery nature might make them good defenders (?)

pig of yum starplayer Babe Lecter. (tough I initially meant him as just a random team captain.)
what I really miss in FF are team captains, I like the over-the-top centrepiece appeareance of war and skirmish game leaders. (just talking about looks, rulewise they are mostly overdone.) and the fact they boost those that get near to them and look up to them, I might be missing something but starplayers dont seem to be that part ?

in general the pigs of yum I see as the most agile and assertive of the Cult of Yum players. they pick fights, run over the field (boars are pretty fast ;)) steal balls and score. elitists as they are they consider the yumlings and exeaten more or less as an unwanted necessarity.
pigs of yum are just based on razorbacks, I really like these alot (even before impact.) but 2 is not enough to justify a full team.

ps: ditched the dwarves from the initial concept for now.. might be too much mix and match.

Ive been looking over team creation (not just THAT game, but also elfball etc.), but have very little time to learn it all at the moment, so if someone wants to have a peek over it.
basically yumlings are the same as before (the gluttony stat) only you cant have 16 of them obviously. same rules of the great yum still apply as well.
Pigs of yum, could be one position or two positions (pigs of yum and boar of yum.) but thats stretching the amount of positions possibly to unnecessary proportions. they should have good movement, and focus on agression, either 0-6 or 0-4 in a team (or 0-2 if split up.)
ex-eaten, are mainly used to annoy opponents and keep the opponents better players distracted, if there are rules for imitating their stench and slippery nature all the better.
thats it for now :)
