Okay cool.
So, I'll finish the sculpey version and learn what I can from it.
I do agree that the skin is overdone. The Procreate version may look more traditional because I won't be using the plastic helmet.
At any rate, thanks!

Yep, Grandma Wendy, as opposed to my other grandma, Granda (Deceased) Wilma

If you are going to sculpt the stalks seperates, you might want to drill holes into the helmet so that its easy to sttach them later (and will probably) look nicer.
If you want to cast sculpty (and/or plastic) you will need to use RTV rubber
Wonder who will let you field the monster though! |

Well I don't really play that other game anymore but if I did it would be a Chaos Troll. I've never been satisfied with the big guys for Chaos. They never seemed Chaotic enough for me...in fact the entire Chaos team seems rather bland for Chaos? I have said several times that the big guy for Chaos should be a Spawn. It should basically be a guy who mutates more often than not, moves like a goblin with a ball & chain, and can't carry the ball. But my changes to the Chaos team are for another forum.
For Elfball, who knows? Like Galak said, an ogre for a wizard team.
Oh and what is RTV rubber? |

| For that other game, use him for a coach. He used his charm person/monster ray to build himself a team. Leave the football out of his mouth and give him a cigar to chew on while he's cussing out the ref. |

Give him a whistle and a cap instead of a helmet. |

I thought the whole idea of a beholder was dumb, but the more I see the idea fleshed out the more it grows on me. I do like the idea of a beholder as a coach or referee.
A beholder as a player: I like the helmet (add some spikes, forget that I can add my own spikes), but I like my players to look more NFL then that fantasy battle game. Never understood why zombies would still be in grave clothes. Raise zombie, "here put this on", zombie puts uniform on, head to the field. |

Could work as a referee ... especially if the eyes were made to look in all directions.
I think I'd rather have the fierce look and the whistle hanging from a couple eye stalks where he could get to it with the stalks sticking through the ref cap.

This is exactly what I was thinking...okay...I'm making this fig.
I'm gonna work on the skin texture and the style will be more like what you suggested if I don't have to worry about a helmet.
I'm pumped! |

Room Temperature Vulcanizing rubber. Usually Silicone Rubber, uses acetic acid (vinegar) to vulcanize the rubber. Commonly used as Caulk in the United States. Also used to make molds for spin-casting white metal.
