Elfball figs are in the 28mm heroic scale (at least I thought they were...). | They are.
As for release schedule ... as fast as we can do it is the short answer.
Only 7 of the teams do not have all their figures at this time.
The Gnome team should be out by November.
The Black Rock team should both be complete by end of year.
We've hired a sculptor for the Siringit team as well but our best hope for that team would be to be ready by next year's GenCon (as its 13 figures).
The Samhaino, Sarcos, Timberline and Thunder Hammer teams will be a project for next year.
I have sketches for the Sarcos mostly ... but the other 3 are not even to the paid sketch point yet.

Hmm. I bought 4 teams at GenCon and the Gnolls and Black Widows especially seem a little "thin" when placed next to my other 28mm stuff. They're not painted yet though so maybe that's the difference.

Thanks for the info though I can't seem to find a Middle Kingdoms team listed anywhere. I only see the Cyclops and Ogre. I can't find the other minis or a team deal for them anywhere. What am I missing?

jolt | Sorry forgot that we are still working on the Middle Kingdom team. That is Alex Garrett's next project after he does the final details on the the Gnome team.

Can we get the list on page one updated?
I've coaches interested in Middle Kingdoms and Evil Dwarves...and three coaches left to decide which teams they want.
We've been using 2nd Ed. Orcs as Middle Kingdoms proxies so we're okay there for now, but Chaos Dwarves were never too popular here (I think it was the hats.) I have like 3 Cd's a Bull and like two Hobimps. Enough to play Elfball but only just. _________________ "I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody."

G'day guys,
Just got into the game and really enjoying it.
Is there any chance that some time in the future you guys would think about doing a Frogfolk or Amphibi-team. For example: Frogs, Toads, Newts etc...
I think that would be really cool.
I also saw the limited edition Frog Player and thought he was AWESOME!! Would love to have a team of them with varying sculpts.
I can always dream I suppose.
Cheers,
Ben. |

Sorry ... it was planned ... the sketch artist and sculptor had been contracted. It was all laid out. And then Grandma Wendy pulled a move that no one expected .... they approved the Slann team to become an official team for B.lood B.owl. They even promised to work on having miniatures made for the team as soon as their budget allows.
However this agreement for their game came with a condition (see the president of Impact! really wants to play Slann as an official B.B. team) ... for the team to be moved to this official status ... no miniature company had to poach on the concept for the miniatures. I agreed to do this so as to not interfere with this move for their game that so many players of that game had asked for.
At one point there was a frog based Calasain team planned for Elfball (they used the same stats as the Sarcos). Calasain was a merger between Twain and Calaveras (Google will tell you why that works if needed). So at this point the frog based Calasain team is not planned.
Sorry for this ... at this point only the Crocodilian based Sarcos team is planned in that theme of team.

I only wish you had gotten a time caveat on that agreement.
I'm sorry but I am not the optimist you are, Tom. I don't see any Bl00d B0wl figs coming from Grandma Wendy for a long time. They could put out a new Dwarf team right now if they were ready to support the game...but they aren't. _________________ "I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody."

Well, there is one - sort of.
Once (if!) Grandma Wendy make the figs, the Slann team becomes official, then Impact! could make Frogman figs (if they wanted to).
Though to be honest, I think your right on this one. I've already had this discussion with Tom, as I doubt we'll see any of the 3 team official seeing as they're all waiting on figs. _________________ What the hell am I doing on a mini's forum? I DON'T PAINT!!!

Thanks for the reply Galak. That is a shame. I don't think there's much chance of Grandma Wendy dong a Slaan team (unless it was produced for when the new FF computer game came out.)
But as someone else said, they have had a Dwarf team ready to go for a while, but no dice (er... miniatures).
Hopefully they come through, if not only so Impact can make an even cooler Frog team...
Thanks anyway.

Okay time caveat.
If the Slann are not official by LRB 7.0 .... I do promise we'll be seriously discussing this topic again. I have a lot of patience ... but there is a point where even my level of extreme hope has to get the reality check.

Which will come first...peace between Israel and Palestine or fantasy football Slann figures from Grandma Wendy? _________________ "I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody."

I heard a rumor that Sp3cialist Gam3s will be spun off as their own company. Hope springs eternal. |

Yep, and there's eventually gonna be a new box set, and we'll get new team miniatures....yadda yadda yadda
How long have we been hearing this baloney?
Sorry, it doesn't look like there's a lot of suit and tie support for fantasy football to me.
Sure JJ loves it, but I think JJ has about as much clout at Grandma Wendy as Tom does. _________________ "I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody."

Just signed a confidential agreement with Grandma Wendy for project they are working on. Unfortunately by signing the darn thing ... I cannot talk about it now ...
I felt good that they wanted my opinion enough to pull me in ... just wish at some point I'd get paid for all this help ...
