TENT!??!
You guys have camping tourneys!? Sounds sweet! I could soooo do this.

Well, the B7 is part of a event called Auryn and so there are more games then just FF. They have reserved rooms where you can sleep on the floor with your sleeping bag, but when I was there it got pretty tight in there (don't wanna mention the smell and snoring ).

When I did the one month motorcycle trip through sweden (together with my girlfirend) I discovered I actually like camping . So next time I be there, my tent is with me

Today I finished the bench area:

Now I need to create some magnetic counter and perhaps some details.

I little bit late but I updated the BGG thread:
http://www.boardgamegeek.com/article/2106956#2106956

here are the counters (Zlurpee Kegs, Momentum, Magic Potions) I made:

Higher resolution:

For the Magic Potions I used the pot of Miraculix of old Dargaud Asterix minis in my youth, which I found in my attic.

And here I made the demos at the gaming fair in Stuttgart 2007:

That board is awesome Frank.

If you ever decide you need to part with it ...please get hold of me.  Until then ... I hope you enjoy playing on it.

Yes Frank that board is simply sublime!

Simple, effective. Id love to play on a board as nice as that! It looks like you are really happy with it, going by the picture! I envy you    No disrespect to DL's board, he knows I like it already! But a cardboard pitch cant compare to the likes of that!

Well - perhaps yes. The thing is:
I want to donate it to Galak, I think he can use it better for fairs like Gencon, than getting dust in my attic.

But it seems impossible to send it to USA as parcel. It's not heavy, but the german parcel service DHL is limited to 120x60x60 cm. The board is about 75x75x10 cm. Fedex and UPS want to have over 200 Euro.

A good way would be to have somebody flying to USA after BBGT and he can send it to Tom.
So - if somebody is making a trip from UK to USA after BBGT, this would be an option.

Anybody?

Well, in all seriousness, someone at the GT can pass it to Valen, who I'm sure is making at least one trip to the US this year.

Gavin is coming over to help with the booth at GenCon so it would be a matter of getting the board to someone who would see Gavin before GenCon in August.

And Frank ... seriously .. you don't have to donate something that expensive and time consuming for you to make.

Only do so if you really want to and let me work out some deal for you for such a generous offer.

Don't worry. I would be happy to see pics showing it in action at GenCon 2008.

The main reason to build it was to have an "eye-catcher" at the fair in Stuttgart and I think it would be perfect for the GenCon too.

When is GenCon?  I ask, because (at least at the moment) Gav's planning on running Newquaybowl beginning of August.

I'm at the GT, I'll have my car (so transports not a problem), and I'm 99% certain of making Newquay, and if not, Lycos is just up the road from me (well - ish - about 30 miles).

So I can pick it up at least.  I sure someone will see Gav before then.
