I'll wager you that a finished PDF for LRB 6.0 is never uploaded to the SG website.
I win if you end up doing it yourself, Tom.
But as for Grandma Wendy's support...maybe you could explain to me exactly what it is that they actually do for Bl00d B0wl.
What is it that they are doing right now that, in your mind, means they support Bl00d B0wl?
I'm not asking in a cynical way, I am genuinely curious because I see no support from them. From my POV it looks like they are unloading old stock and simply not turning money away that they collect from the NAF's sweat. That's not what I call support.

Grandma Wendy as a whole for the miniatures and game fantasy football ... nothing.
But individuals at Grandma Wendy? There is still some guys helping.
JJ was very involved with the Rules Review for B.B. for LRB 6.0 and he is staying very involved with the Cyanide development of the FF game. I've had frequent emails with JJ and other Grandma Wendy employees on the Cyanide game because I'm a signed consultant by Grandma Wendy to assist with it (already wrote the logic for one of the modules in January).
Andy Hall did very promptly load up the results of the Rules Review for LRB 6.0 onto the SG site when he returned from his holiday ... and still publishes B.B. articles on the SG site as they come in to him.
Allen, the manager of the store in Chicago is very active in getting all the resources, staff, boards, prizes, and supplies for the Chaos Cup tournament. All I do is referee it ... he does everything else.
The Grandma Wendy guy who runs the Dungeonbowl does most of that event with pure Grandma Wendy resources as well.
The fantasy football is organized as an event by Grandma Wendy. They consult with Darkson on the rules pack and he's a referee ... but they set up the event, supply the boards, and run the tournament.
After that ... I don't know of anything ... but I do know they are still doing those 5-6 things. Is it much ... no ... wouldn't try and overstate it that way at all ... but its not totally nothing yet either.

I would carry on, but there's nothing that riles me more than a post which breaks mine apart into tiny little pieces and quote-addresses every single line. So I'm not going to be any further involved in this except to say.
You'll be proven wrong this time. |

If I did something that rubbed you the wrong way...I mean I assume it was me even though you addressed it as "someone" oh so passive aggressively...maybe you should try to PM me and tell me what I did that annoyed you so I could fix it instead of causing a public fight.
Thanks. _________________ "I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody."

i must say im glad with fantasy flights acquisition.
ive been watching them bring out quality game after game (descent, arkham horror etc)
my only qualm is the reason you can recognise a FF game - massive numbers of pretty counters :P
but more seriously, the stuff they make is high quality, and i see them doing a much better job than Grandma Wendy with these lines. |

I like their stuff too but I have not played any of their RPGs or CCGs so I don't know how well they'll handle the Grandma Wendy RPGs and CCGs.
I'm interested in Dark Heresy...but actually the one area that I am getting my hopes up about is some more supplements for WHFRPG.
I always liked that game because of the career tree advancement so I would be very very very excited to see modules, expansions, geographic source books etc. _________________ "I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody."

Unless Grandma Wendy has (concrete) plans to re-release Space hulk, I think they're making a mistake not allowing FFG to license it.
FFG could have released it with card figures, and a link to Grandma Wendy for anyone that wanted to buy Termies and Genestealers. Win/win for Grandma Wendy. At the very least they'd make money for the SH license, and at best, they'd sell more figures, which in turn might bring in new 40K players.
Hell, I know'd I'd buy a new set, and I have the original and a couple of supplements tucked away somewhere. _________________ What the hell am I doing on a mini's forum? I DON'T PAINT!!!

Just looked at Dark Heresy at the book store.
Only Grandma Wendy could design a role playing game with $7 character sheets.
No thanks. _________________ "I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody."

Or you could use the free downloadable ones that BI released, and FFG picked up:

...or use the traditional "permission granted to photocopy for..." that roleplayers used for years when "home PC" meant that you lived with a copper
I've got this, read it cover to cover (although still to play it - damned Eberron campaign taking for ever ) and I have to say it looks fantastic. A Black Library product, not to be confused with "Grandma Wendys Minis for Teens Emporium". _________________ Officially rubbish at all fantasy football games |

I didn't see permission to photocopy on the folio. I looked.
I can't see Grandma Wendy making a $7 character sheet and then allowing us to photocopy it.
And I can't get Darkson's link to work. _________________ "I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody."

Permission to photocopy on the blank sheet in the rulebook. The folio is a premium edition version with loads of extra details to spend hours recording loads of details in... which any FF player will tell you will ensure the character dies next session
Try here for downloads http://www.blackindustries.com/?template=40k&content=dh-gamingaids (hope that one works - it works for me) _________________ Officially rubbish at all fantasy football games |

Anyway, the point is I have never in my life seen a $7 character sheet.
Just one character and it's used up! $7! So i assume these links that you are showing me are not to free versions of what I saw in the store.
It was utterly ridiculous. A small booklet no more than 4" x 6" and maybe containing 10 pages to write on...for SEVEN DOLLARS!
Only Grandma Wendy could come up with that.
I remember buying a pack of 50 (?) for original D&D for something like $5 and thinking that was expensive.
