JBDEmon's frog is nice, but if you wanted to proxy a team now, you could use RolJordan's Frog FF team, some of the poses lend themselves nicely to the Kermitians.
I'll try and post photos when I finish painting mine up.
Cheers,
Ben.

I would think that would a simple modification to the game. Probably something we could host as a free PDF on the site.
Basically you change the circle around the goal so that any ball passing through it scores a goal (ie the white line around the goal no longer bounces the ball).
Then you forbid anyone other than the goalie to run into any hex adjacent to a goal. Automatic ejection for the remainder of the Test if you move or are shoved into a hex adjacent to the goal and are not the goalie for that goal.
If the goalie is removed from the game that team must designate the new player which becomes the goalie.
Scoring is done with a Throw Challenge to get it into the goal hex.
An interception challenge is modified so that the player designated as the goalie is allowed to interception a ball that travels through his hex or any hex he is adjacent to (including if that hex is occupied). A successful interception means the goalie takes possession of the ball in the hex he was in (ie don't move the goalie for an interception challenge).
And voila ... I think you pretty much have football/soccer rules for Elfball.

I think for a true soccer experience you should use a rectangular pitch and place the goal as the center squares of the endzone. (Widezones are open field)
That way the goal has to move to position to block the ball. That, Galak suggestions and viola! Soccer. _________________ "I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody."

You haven't played soccer (football) or watched a game, do you? |

I'm actually reading the NBN rulebook when I see this news :D
Keep on the good work!!! ;)
PS: I'm thinking also in a Spanish translation of the game (I have to talk about that with Ben) |
Any way you could link me to them, send me a copy or instruct me where to find said rules?

The possibility to throw into the goal is an excellent variant that lends itself well to the mechanics, thanks _________________ Elfball is for girls...... and pigs apparently, I know which one I am :D |

And Mephisto .. yes I have watched soccer. But I don't see the need to try to translate all the rules for soccer to create an Elfball version of it (just like Elfball doesn't try to closely match the rules for rugby which it is based on either).

| Shouldn't this be posted to the home page for Impact? There is a lot of interesting stuff that gets mentioned here but only three news items on the main page. Even just a quick headline with a link to the thread here would be nice to show how much cool stuff is happening with this company. |

The short answer is yes it should.
The long answer involves time spent on a day job that makes web updating very difficukt.

Fair enough. He left out the bit where he'd bought a copy so that assumption I made came up short.
off to checks pockets for $ to buy said rules (and game). _________________ A wise man once said.

Just remember Mad Jackal, the game may cost money, but you can download two fairly meaty expansions for free.
Make sure you download them and check them out. They introduce quite a lot of new stuff.

I'll wait for Impact! to sell it, then I'm on it as I think I can afford this game. _________________ Most Casualties Stemfest '07

Pricing right now looks like this:
$15 USD for the game
$19 USD for a full team of 5 players
Based on the sizes of players ... I plan on offering a deal where we sell the game and any two teams of your choice for $50 USD when we reach that point (ie have at least two teams worth of sculpts). Like I said ... a very affordable miniatures game.
