This is just a minor idea which came up when I printed the english and german version to get them to a copy shop to bind them.
Why not add a flag representing a language directly on the startpage left of the impact logo. Right next to it (or below) in smaller letters the version. Right now you have to open your manual to see if it is the most recent version.
This could also be used on the homepage where you link to the version. A nice picture of the cover page with the flag and the version looks far better then all the text lines

well, I had to get a bad day at work out of my mind and so I did a example of what I was talking about. I think it explains the idea and your grafik artists can draw very nice flags

Personally, I think those flags are to big.
Small ones under the Impact logo would be better, though personally, I think it should be on the back cover (I can't personally* think of any games that have the language listed on the front.
* That's personally - I'm not saying there aren't some that do. _________________ What the hell am I doing on a mini's forum? I DON'T PAINT!!!

They work fine though as he has done them, and a bit of flag waving really never hurt anyone!
Great suggestion and nice solution! _________________ Thom. . .

Jürgen, are you from Austria?
I think the idea with the flag is great, but I don't think that they should be as big as they are on their picture. Smaller and at the bottom. |

I only took care that the flags are almost equal size, didn't care to much about the overall size ;-) I just picked "anything" to illustrate my idea.

Well one part of my idea was to give users of the homepage a quick overview what they get when they want to download them. Imagine you are new to the game. You see the text valkyrie/night elf cover or deadling/divine wind cover. When you are knew (or a new version comes out) the only way to find out how it looks like is to download it. With my suggestion, you immediately see the cover you like, you see the language and you see the version.
The second idea - which probably brings you no advantage - is for multilanguage people like me that want to have both version (either for collecting or cross check if something is not clear for me in one language). If I have the same front cover i actually need to open the book and murphy's laws say I will always get the wrong one first :)

I don't know any other game I have which is multilanguage so thats a first for me ;-)

I believe that Grandma Wendy produces their 40K Codexes in different languages. If so, the flag is on the backcover next to the barcode and ISBN number. _________________ What the hell am I doing on a mini's forum? I DON'T PAINT!!!
